Little Bees

Hubbee and I have two little bees.

Busy bee, 21 months old, is an energetic little man who's current obsession is wheels. We were once at a Hands-On Children's museum when Busy bee decided he just had to spin a wheel...any wheel or rather anyone's wheel for that matter. Within a mere second Busy bee, who still runs like he has something in his diaper, morphed into the next Olympic 100 meter dash hopeful and proceeded to knock over another mom's stroller. Once knocked over he proceeded to spin (you guessed it) the WHEELS! Luckily, the baby was safe in her mother's arm. However, this obsession causes many-a-handwashings as Busy bee feels the need to touch every car wheel within reach at our local parking lots. But who am I to complain...at least he is interested in something other than the TV. It has also greatly increased his vocabulary. He can now say "car" with the best of 'em.

Baby bee, 6 months old, is not yet quite as busy as Busy bee but she is on her way. I am enjoying every free minute I have because I know once Baby bee starts crawling, free time will be thrown out the window. Luckily, she seems to have only a mild interest in crawling and is happy enough to roll around. And for the present, I am thankful.
